W.Baty Sawyers Blanton-Almina Whiteside

William Baty Sawyers Blanton was born to George Blanton, son of Burwell Blanton and Phoebia Margaret Bridges. [This Burwell Blanton fought in the Rev. War and died in Cleveland County, NC. His parents were George Blanton of VA>NC and Elvira Lee. George Blanton later married a Susannah and had several other children. He lists all of his children in his will. Several of his daughters married "Bridges" men.]

William Baty Sawyers Blanton's mother was Priscilla Harrill/Harrell, and she was the daughter of Housand Harrill and Frances "Frankey" Philadelphia Street.

William Baty Sawyers Blanton was married first to Julia Webb, and second to Almina Clementine Whiteside. There were 3 sons born to "Baty" and Almina.

"Baty" was born in Rutherford County, NC. Seems he died in TN in the Civil War. His grave is with Julia Webb in Concord Baptist Church Cemetery, Rutherford County, NC, but I do not know if he was brought back from TN for burial or not. Could just be that his family erected his tombstone at Concord Baptist. His mother, Priscilla Harrill Blanton married John Burge after George's early death. She is buried beside "Baty" as Priscilla Burge.

I descend from Priscilla and George Blanton through their daughter Susannah Blanton, "sister to Baty".

I can document dates as well.

Does anyone have documentation concerning Elvira Lee other than Clarence Griffin's book?
