Durham - Dunham in 1800 Rutherford Co. Census
Posted by: Dan Durham (ID *****0214) Date: July 14, 2013 at 12:36:28

In the 1800 Federal Census of Rutherford County, NC Henry and Joseph Dunham are enumerated on lines one and two, respectively, of page 160. Charles Durham and his son Richard are enumerated on lines 18 and 20, respectively. Dunhams also appear in the 1810 census of Rutherford County, but are gone by the time of the 1820 census. The Durham families continue in Rutherford Co.

Is Dunham a misspelling of Durham or is it correct as written? Is there any relationship between these Dunhams and these Durhams?
