Seeking ancestral information on Elizabeth Caroline Garrett b. about 1819 in Rutherford County, aka Caroline and E. Caroline. She married William Newman 25 Mar 1841 in Rutherford County and was shown as Elizabeth C. Garet in the marriage records (bondsman John Ellison). She died between 1856 and 1858 and her husband married 2nd Narcissa Lankford 11 Oct 1858. I believe her parents to be William Garrett and Sarah Hawkins Garrett who were married 25 Jan 1819 in Rutherford County. William was enumerated head of household in 1820 for one daughter in the age category of less than 10 years; in 1830 for four boys and one daughter in the age category of 5-10; in 1840 for four boys and three daughters. All the daughters have not been accounted for in the Garrett research I've seen and I believe Elizabeth Caroline may be the missing child. Please contact me at mdeut28@yahoo.com if you have any information which will help make the connection. Will post on the Garrett forum also. Thanks.
