I ran across your inquiry regarding the Cole Family of Sulphur Springs. If your Suphur springs is in Rutherford Co., NC, perhaps I have a Thomas Cole born 1794 in Granvile, NC and died 1816 Spartanburg Co., SC.
The second generation is John Cole, 1782 - 22 Oct 1871 Rutherford Co., NC. He married Susanna "Sookey" Robbins.
They had six children: Harriett born 1815 Rutherford Co, Joseph 1816 Rutherford Co.
