I don't know the answer to your questions, but perhaps the information you provided will get some attention from other searchers.

Seems like most of these people were cousins -- either close or distant. And many times it was a cousin that they married. That makes their relationships complicated at times. Sometimes brothers and sisters would marry into the same family.

Burwell was a popular name of the time. It came from the prominent Burwell family - Lewis Burwell. That doesn't necessarily mean they were related, though.
