Hi Adrian,

Thanks for repsponding to my post! If we share a g- grandfather then that must make us cousins! From your last name, I'm assuming that Mattie was your grandmother, sister to my grandfather, Robert. Robert and Ruth's oldest daughter, Mabel Faye, was my mother (she died Nov. 2000). I don't have any Saine (?) records beyond Edd Golden (I never heard him referred to as Edger..) I also noticed from the cemetary records that Mattie's maiden name was listed as 'Sane'. I've found these differences in spelings in a lot of other surnames as well, who knows why?
I have uncovered other "mysteries" however and would love to share more with you. Feel free to contact me directly.
