John, Sorry I haven't answered your query. I just found it today. I would love to share info with you. I have been researching the McFarland-Deveny familiy for many years. Your grandfather, Thomas Aaron, came to Texas to visit in 1912. We have a picture of him made at that time. I have been to Rutherford, and Polk Co. to visit several times and to places in South Carolina where our Johnson family lived. Let me know what you would like to know. If you will send me your address, I will send you some of what I have. I would like to have more on Thomas Aaron. I have also researched the sisters of Thomas Aaron and Wiley Scott. One is buried only a few miles from where I live and another is buried in Rains Co.
