Does anyone know this person or something of the history of accused Tories in Rutherford CO?

John Hutson, a Tory, forfeited goods and chattel 1782, after joining British forces with Major Ferguson Oct 1 1780. source: Morgan District NC SUperior Court of Law and Equity, Mis. Records Bk III. Co. Ct. of pleas and Quarter Sessions, second Mond of July 1782, before Worhipful Wm.Gilbert
