John according to ancestry.com records the name of his wife was Mary Harriss married on 4 Jul 1808. Was her name Sarah Mary Harriss or vice versa?
Some how the Jones family may be connected to my Jarrel family by way of a John Fittsgarrel (sometimes shown as John F. Gerald according to the late Jean Brackett Easterling) that married a Poley Joans in Rutherford Co., 5 May 1808. Believe he could be the father of my Daniel Jarrel and if not maybe a uncle or brother. Daniel Jarrel married Rosannah Sills in Aug 1828 there.
If you can tie any of these people together for me let me know. My ancestors that were there are also Robert H. Taylor, his daughter Millie Taylor married Jonathan Mooney and his daughter Mary( twin sister to Susan Francis Mooney) was my great grandmother. Mary married Uriah Milton (Milt) Jarrel in 1851. Milton was a Confederate war soldier. His brother Alfred died in Va. during the war.
Rosannah had a daughter by John Parker before she married Daniel and she was Martha (Sills/Parker Jarrel)may have used all of those names' married Hiram McCurry , married a William Hicks, and possibly William Taylor unless they are the samy man. Found a Marriage don of Martha McCurry to William Taylor 12 nove 1857.
It gets pretty confusing. Think I have seen the name William Taylor Hicks but can't remember where. But if you can shed any light on the Jones people for me I would appreciate it.
