Andrew PADGETT is listed in both the Rutherford County and Polk County census as follows:

Andrew is listed in the 1850 census for Polk County, N.C., living with his parents, Ephriam PADGETT, Jr. and unknown, with the following siblings -
i. Gilbert
ii. Leanna
iv. Malinda
v. William Bryson
vi. Berry H.
viii. Andrew and Sara SMITH
ix. James C.

From Carolyn - it appears Andrew and Sara moved during the year 1850, as the 1850 Rutherford County, N.C. census shows Andrew and Sara living with her parents, William and Eizabeth SMITH. (Sara is listed as S.L PAGET 19 and as a male.)

1860 Polk County lists Andrew 29, Sara 29, William 10, Noah 7, Mary 5, Martha 3.

As most of the above census information came from other researchers, perhaps someone can post the full census in response to this same message concerning Andrew PADGETT for everyone to read.

My intention of sharing the Civil War information for Andrew and other N.C. PADGETT men who served in the Confederacy is in hopes other researchers will post what they know about these PADGETT men so we can all benefit by the research.

Please note: Anyone reading this, or any message I post, if you are aware of any errors or wish to comment and/or add anthing to what I have written, please feel free to do so. Carolyn Threatt - PADGETT descendant.
