I only found Samuel Hawkins married to Elizabeth Shanon in 1803. I went to Rutherford Co. Nc. just to see what else there was about Samuel Hawkins. If you are kin to a Samuel Hawkins in Rutherford Co. Nc. He may be Edward Dycus Hawkins's Son. That Samuel was born about 1803. I never found no real Tax records while I was in Rutherford Co. NC.My Samuel was in Trigg Co.Ky. in 1820-30-40, We found him and his wife in Caldwell Co. Ky in 1841 and 42. he died before 1850, but his wife and a son Named Samuel was living to gather in 1850. It looks like Samuel had 4 Sons. John D b,1805, was the First, William b, 1811 And this Samuel born About 1822. There was a passell of girls, I can only guess at who they are. One son I can not account for. John D was born in NC.William was born in Tn. I think Samuel Jr. was born in Ky.
