I am also researching the Johnsons and Walkers of Rutherford and Polk Cos. Do you kinow anything more about your Johnson-Walker line? My gggrandparents were William Johnson and Jane Walker. They were married in Lancaster Co., S.C. in 1814. I believe they came to the Polk Co. area about 1830-1840. William had several brothers who also came to Polk Co. His brothers were Middleton, Littleton, and John. We believe the father of these was Samuel Johnston(Johnson) who lived in Lancaster Co. His parents were Rebecca and William Johnson.
Any help with these families would be greatly appreciated.
Nell Carter
