Thyatira graveyard transcription discrepancy - George Brandon?
Posted by: Sally Brandon (ID *****6080) Date: May 10, 2009 at 07:53:58

Is anyone on this board in the Salisbury area who could help me with this question? Or maybe someone can refer me to someone who is, or has themself come across discrepancies with this transcription.

The Thyatira graveyard transcription online ( http://www.rootsweb.ancestry.com/~ncrowan/thyatira.txt ) list a George Brandon this way:

George Brandon d. 12-14-1773, 70y
[broken stone only part found]

I need to verify that this George goes with a will filed December 14, 1772, which seems obvious but when debating with a researcher who claims there were two Georges, is necessary.

The "broken stone" part tells me this problem may be unresolvable. Any help appreciated!
