Another researcher says that Lockey Bean's name was Whitlock Bean. In the 1850 census and 1860 census for Davidson Co., NC, his wife's name is Elizabeth.

In the 1850 census, the family surname is indexed as Bran.

In the 1840 census for Davidson Co., NC, the family is indexed as Been.
In 1840, James Floyd and Joseph Floyd are also in Davidson Co., NC.
