Several family trees are available for this line of Sarah Gunn, most of which say her mother was Caroline Lehman Boone. Another researcher says her father was Daniel Gunn and her mother Jerusha Wynn or Winn. I find no GUNN or anything close in North Carolina in the 1810 census that would be her parents.

In the 1820 census, Henry Gouger and wife, with two infant children, are in the Cabarrus County census. The only Daniel Gunn in the 1820 census was in Caswell Co., and he was age 26-45.

You might send an inquiry to the Rowan County Public Library in Salisbury, NC, to the History Room and see if they will do a look-up in the records for you. Perhaps the marriage record shows the name of Sarah's parents.
