Harris, Minerva or could it be Harrison?

Minerva Harris, b abt 1813 (1850 census) - d Mar 31, 1891.
Married Thomas Walters b. abt 1819 - 23 Nov 1840 in Rockingham Co, NC

On the 1870 census, Wentworth Township, p. 28 Thomas, Minerva and Robert Walters are listed at the bottom of the page. At the top of p. 29, apparently living in the home of the Walters are the children of William Harrison and his wife Mary:
Cora, age 10f
Charles, age 8m
Harriett, age 6f
Wilmer, age 4f
Susan, age 2f
William, age 2/12 m, born April

Why are these children living in this home? Could it be that Minerva’s maiden name is Harrison rather than Harris?

Any clues? Respond to my home email as well as genforum.
