Abstracting wills from Harnett Co and found this in Book 1: SIKES, W. H., of Robeson Co. 28 Nov 1911/4 Nov 1915 Cumberland Co. Pages 313-318. To son W. E. Sikes 1200 acres known as the McMillan land being several adjoining tracts purchased from McMillan, McGougan & others near waters of Raft Swamp, all in Robeson Co near town of Red Springs; all machinery & all livestock except hogs; vacant lot in town Red Springs adjoining my residential lot, 125 x 266 ft. To 2 daughters Mrs. Grace B. Blue & Miss Elizabeth Sikes interest in all real estate in Cumberland & Hoke Counties on west side of Cape Fear River except part of the Carmichael lands which include the mills recently built by the Sikes Lumber company with pond & lands embraced by: [description includes north west corner Miss Mary B. Coleman, Gillis line, across Little Rockfish Creek, Bennett’s line] which are to go to wife & 3 children during natural lives until last has died when shall become the property of the Presbyterian Church of Red Springs. To wife & 3 children interest in all personal property therein. Daughter Elizabeth Sikes shall not dispose of her interest until after her marriage & birth of issue; should she fail to marry & have lineal descendant, at her death land devised to her shall become joint property of son W.
