Hunt-Brogdon Connection? 1860-1900

On the 1900 Robeson County census there is a Betsey Broglin("Mother"), age 84, in the household of Bias Hunt and his wife, Mary J. This was next door to John Broglin and his sister Angeline, who were two of Betsey's children with John Brogdon of Marion County, SC (surnames misspelled on the census). Evidently when her husband John died in 1890 Betsey (John's 2nd or 3rd wife), John(Jr), and Angeline moved to Robeson. A few of John Brogdon's children by earlier wives were already in Robeson. Daughters were married to Jacobs, Oxendines, and Mannings. I'm wondering how Betsey could have been Bias Hunt's mother. Does anyone know that connecton? Maybe she was a Hunt before living with John Brogdon in Marion County? I would like to know the story for my genealogy research. Thank you!!
