The will of James Phillips was probated in Richmond Co. in 1785 (or possibly that is the date of the will). Mentions wife, Mary,; sons - James, Joel, Solomon, and Lamden; daughters - Ann, Mary, Elizabeth, Rebecca, Sarah, Prisillah, Easter.

Have you located descendants of any of these for participation in the project?

Richmond Co. NC is not far from Darlington Co. SC where James R. Phillips (group 57)lived before moving to Newton Co. GA where his will was probated in 1834.

The names in this will are the same as several of James R's children: James, Joel Solomon, Mary, Sarah and Priscilla.

If you already have identified descendants of this family being in a group other than 57, I think it unlikely that James R, might be the son James named here. However, if you have not, I think that it is a possibility.
