I am looking for information on Thomas Pate who likely moved from Wayne County to Richmond County c. 1815. All information cited is correct to the best of my knowledge, but subject to correction or revision.

He may have married Catherine Oliver in Wayne County. In Richmond County, he was married to Hester Pate, a daughter of Samuel Pate (d. 1850) who was son of Thoroughgood Pate and Winefred Stewart. Hester had died by 1841.

He was on the 1810 census in Wayne County with a male 10/16 years and a female under 10. He and his wife were 16/26 years. There was an older female, perhaps the mother of him or his wife.

He was on the 1820 census in Richmond County with a male and female 10/16 years and a female under 10. He and his wife were 26/45 years.

It is possible that he was a son of Daniel Pate (1740-1791 NC), with borthers James, William, and Charles. If so, he was born c. 1780 and named in his father's will as a minor. He may have been the Thomas Pate who paid a poll in 1801-02 in Lincoln County, Georgia.

There was also a Thomas Pate who, on October 16, 1783, witnessed a Wayne County deed with Isom Pate, by James Pate.

The information I am seeking is:
- who were his parents?
- who were his siblings?
- who were his children?
- did he leave a will?
- are there any probate records?
- where and when did he die?

I would particularly like to hear from any of his descendants.
