Bobbie,
I really appreciate you contacting me. It's been awhile since I talked to you. We did find Mizpah Cemetery, but May Wright wasn't there. We later found out that he is buried at Zion Church. The obituary said Mizpah, his death certificate says Zion.
Concerning the Dabbs, my brother & I have also searched for the old cemetery. We were told that it is at the original site of the old Gum Springs Church, which the new one is near the old Wright homeplace. My G-Grandmother Ella Jane Dabbs Wright went there. However, no one seems to know where the old church was located. I think it might have been somewhere off of the road (can't remember the road #, maybe 152?) that runs along the river between Hwy 74 & Morven. We have been all over that part of the county but have never found it.
We did find an old cemetery on Wall Rd. not too far from the old Wright place. It's down an old road & set back in the woods. Don't ask me how we found it! My grandmother had told us of a funeral she went to near the old homeplace. We were just following our noses! Any way, there are no markers, the cemetery is bordered by a concrete wall about 2 feet high, there are about 12 graves, most sinking in. It hasn't been cared for, there are trees growing in it.
Anyway, the search goes on. I'll try to keep you posted if I find anything. Thanks again for writing.

Susan
