I am a descendant of Ephraim S. Lunsford and believe there is a connection between the two families. Ephraim Sihon Lunsford Sr. b. 1766 had a son named Aris C. Lunsford. (Not to be confused with the other Aris.) This Aris was born in 1800 or 1806 (depending on where you look) in SC or NC. Aris C. Lunsford married Mary Ledbetter probably in Chesterfield Co. SC around 1832. By 1850, Aris and family were living in Wayne County TN.--see census. Children are Myrick b. 1833, James Pierce b. 1834, Sarah R, Issac Lee Hilliard and Wiley Ledbetter. James, Issac and Wiley, after the Civil War moved to East Texas--Cherokee and Rusk Counties. Aris, Myrick and James Pierce were all ministers. Would be happy to exchange and compare info with you.
