Another researcher in our family gave me the following land records on Malcom:
#171- Richmond County, North Carolina
Malcolm McQuage - 100 acres
Grant 173 - August 9, 1787
Entry # 612
Entered 10 May 1784
Book # 4 - Page 263
Location on the east side of Gum Swamp
1822- Malcolm sold 100 acres on Jones Creek for $60.00"
After 1822, the only Malcolm McQuage I have located was in Blount County, TN. Jane Kizer Thomas answered my query at McQuagge Genealogy Forum: "There is a Malcom McQuage in Blount County, TN, selling land in Feb 1836. Blount County marriage records show Catharine McQuage m Hiram W. Lambert 1825. Jane McQuague m Robert Delzell 1846. Nancy McQuaig m Samuel T. Glass 1841. William McQuage m Jane Hamilton 1826."
