Snead - Beasley Marriage Bond 1830s

Will someone please educate me on NC marriage bonds? How early were they required. etc.?

My ancestors Diana/Dinah Snead and Absalom Snead married in Forsyth Co. GA in 1839. Both names are Snead on that marriage license. Her maiden name was Beasley. Family lore is that her first husband was Absalom's brother. The first husband died and these two married. This is born out by her being named Snead when they married and by there being Snead offspring born earlier than 1839. The Sneads and Beasleys were both from Richmond Co. NC. If Dinah Beasley and unknown Snead were married in NC (likely Richmond Co.) sometime in the 1830s would there be a marriage bond and how would I go about finding it? I would appreciate any help anyone can offer.
