William Bowdon/Bowden/Bowdoin

I am in search of evidence that would confirm or deny that William Bowden of Randolph county, North Carolina was and or is the son of William Bowden of Granville County, North Carolina.

Some 20 odd years ago I received the Estate records of William of Randolph County.

These records were an attempt to settle his Estate as he died in Alabama in 1821.

I would like to know what the documents tell that would connect him to those of Granville County?

I ask for help here as there is another man named William Bowden that was in the Rev War and lived in Surry County, North Carolina.
This William died at the age of 92 in Tenn., which makes his birth about 1740-1742.
This William is claimed to also have a son named Travis Bowden.

Can or would there be any one in Randolph county that would help on this matter?
If you are related to James Odell that married the Trogdon then you should also be in need of this evidence as the mother of James Odell was Martha Bowden, a daughter of William whom died 1821 and claimed a s granddaughter of William whom died 1773 Granville County.

Many Thanks!
