Carr Michael Justice was my grandfather. His father was William M. Justice, and two of his Uncles were Carr Baylus Justice and Michael Hoke Justice. Around 1920 he left his family, then living in Winston-Salem, and was never heard from or spoken of again. In 1922, in a letter (which I have) from Carr Michaels's wife's relatives in South Carolina, it is stated that Carr Michael had died in Panama while working on the Panama Canal.
Can anyone shed light on what happened to Carr Michael (Israel) Justice?
