I can help you with part of this . . . or at least what I think I know.

Jesse E. McCraw and Mary T. Jones had 12 children. Mary died giving birth to twins on May 6, 1872. One twin, Martha Lizar Misinniah, lived, the other did not survive.


My ancestor, Jesse A. "Babe" McCraw was "Nan" Constant's younger brother. There are descendants of Jesse and Mary in Polk County, but some of the children migrated across McCraw Mountain and into Henderson County.

We know very little about Mary T. Jones, but a lot is known about the Jesse McCraw family. His parents were Baird McCraw and Kisiah Tate from the Boiling Springs area of North Carolina.

Please let me know exactly what you are looking for and how much detail you want. I can't fill in all the gaps, but I can help.
