Location of Green's creek as the county name changed over the years

I am rearching the Ball Line and we have several links to the Green Family line who lived in and around the Green's Creek area of NC in the very early 1800s. I am having a difficult time identifying the Green's Creek community in NC in the early 1800s. If anyone can identify the location of Green's Creek to the County it is in as the county name changed over the years, I will be very greatiful. Thanks, Jesse L. Ball.
