Are there divorce records for Polk Co. for the period approximately 1909-1916? I am looking for the divorce of a Spartanburg Co., SC couple in that period. SC had no divorce law until 1949 or 1950. Thus, I think the divorce may have taken place in an adjoining county of another state. I'd appreciate knowing where to inquire for Polk Co. divorces.
