Obituary, dated Nov.25, 1937.
Chesnee- C.W. DAVIS, 66, died this afternoon at his home, Chesnee, Rt.1, after a year's illness. He was a farmer of the Green River section of Polk Co.
He is survived by his wife, MRS. DELIA GLOVER DAVIS; 6 sons, ELMER, GOMER, FRANK, and YATES DAVIS, Spindale, N.C., EULAS DAVIS, Mars Hill, and HENRY DAVIS at home; 3 daughters, MRS. J.A. CASH, Chesnee, MRS. E.G. HINES, Spindale, and MRS. L.E. WESTBROOK, Campobello, rt.1.
The funeral will be conducted at the Green River Bapt. church, burial will be in the church cemetery.
Pallbearers; LIGE MILLER, WILLIE WALKER, WILMER RIDINGS, MURL SHYTLE, MACK WATSON , CHARLES WILKINS.
