Joe,

While doing some research found a T. Calaway Smith 2-4-1837-11-18-1895, Jane Smith 10-24-1879 wife of T Calaway buried at Sandy Springs Baptist Church, Rutherford, N.C.

Hope this is helpful to your Smith search. Ours I think will at this time turn us in a different direction for the moment. We are trying to confirm Doctor Miller Smiths parents to be Joel Smith and Lucinda Dobbins. I had always thought that Joel mother might have been a Miller, but old notes now think it may have been his wife Lucinda. Could Lucinda Dobbins parents be: Alexander Dobbins Jr. and her mother Jane/Janet Miller? If so Alexander would have been born abt 1715 in Dover? Ireland his mother possibly a Templeton born 1736 married Jane/Janet Miller on November 4, 1788 in Rowan, North Carolina. Unfortunately Joe , this information is old and not dated nor who from. I can't confirm, but it could give you another place for searching.
Let me know what you think. Mary Lou Raymond/MaryLouRaymond@msn.com
