Gary, I would very much like to exchange info with you. I am fairly certain your Griffen is a brother to my gggrandmother Rebecca Ann. Their parents were Wiley and Jane Johnson. They also had a brother named Wiely and 2 sisters whose names I do not know. Rebecca married William C. McFarland in Rutherford Co., N.C. I have tried to find more on them with little success.
