Dykes family of Pitt County

Just wondering if anyone has come upon any information about George Dykes apart from the couple of land transactions in the 1700's ?

Incidentally, I was up in Pitt County this past summer. Based on the rough coordinates of a George Dykes land transaction, a kindly gentlemen in Pitt County worked up a map for me.

Therefore, I was able to walk the ground my gggggg grandfather walked, back around 1750! The land is currently occupied by the Contentnea Mobile Home Park (or something to that effect). It's within the city limits of Farmville.
