Gavin, I'm also looking for a Pitt County Rev War soldier named Roberson and I was wondering if you have encountered him in your research. I believe that he is my 5th great grandfather. His name is Sovrin or Servie or Sovereign Roberson or Robertson. He appears on the 1790 Pitt County census and according to the scant info I can find about him, he received 640 acres of land for 84 months of Revolutionary War Service and that he served in the NC Militia during the war. His son, also named Sovereign Roberson, my 4th gr gf moved to the Orangeburg SC area and served during the War of 1812 and eventually ended up in the Columbia, Maury County, TN area where he died about 1850. Any info is greatly appreciated! Dave in Michigan
