Liz Sparrow was correct. Vol. II of the Chronicles of Pitt Co. NC shipped abt June '05. My cousin Nalda Bullock Gibson and I both have articles about our BULLOCH/BULLOCK family which began in Pitt Co. NC in late 1700s; they migrated to Bibb/Dooly Co. GA by abt 1812. My 3rd gr-grandfather, Irwin BULLOCK who was b. abt 1793 in Pitt Co. NC, served at Ft. Hawkins GA during the War of 1812.
His father, Daniel BULLOCK, had served in the NC Continental Line for 7 yrs. during the Rev. War. Wife Mary Whitehurst's family had roots in Princess Anne Co. VA. We haven't found a marriage record yet, but they got married shortly before/after he enlisted.

Our extended BULLOCK-WHITEHURST family gathered in June '04 to commemorate the 1812 service of Irwin BULLOCK and the CSA Service of his youngest son, Joseph A. BULLOCK. Government markers were placed at the cemetary in Americus, GA where they are buried with Irwin's wife Ladufsia POUND.
