In am interested in John and William Tuton/en/Tootle in Pitt Co, NC. John was on the 1790 tax list and census. William Tootle was on the 1790 Census. In land records there is a William Tuton. By 1800 they are not listed on the Pitt Co. census, and land dealings end. A William married Keziah Wilson before 1818 per estate records of Thomas Holloway, uncle of Keziah. Also an Elizabeth Wilson md Shadrack Tuten. She died without heirs according to above. Shadrack is on the 1800 Pitt Co. census with 1 male 16-26 and 1 45 & up; 1 female 10-16 and 1 45 & up. Are these 2 children by a 2nd wife or are they "others" in his household? In 1807, Shadrack sells his 100 ac. 1790 grant from NC to Thomas Blount. Does anyone have any further information?
