If it is at all possible, could you look and see if the May Family is in the book? I have ancestors from Pitt County. Their names are: John May Sr., John May Jr., Shadrach/Shadrick/ Shadrack May and Nannie/Nancy Meeks May, Jeremiah May. Jeremiah May married his second wife, Lydia Hattaway/Hathaway, daughter of Thomas Hattaway/Hathaway. Any help on any of these names is greatly appreciated.
