Wyatt Death Record

Need to track down a death date and record for John B. Wyatt, also known as Johann or Isham Wyatt. Last known of him he was in the Pitt Co. Poorhouse in 1871. There is a strong possibility that he died there. Will appreciate any clues on finding Poorhouse records. Also would like to know when formal Pitt Co. death records began; what questions were asked on the form; and how to order copies. John/Johann/Isham Wyatt was born ca. 1813 in or near Petersburg, VA. He was the father of Henry Lawson Wyatt, first Confederate soldier to be killed in the Civil War.
