William Travis, Revolutionary War era
Posted by: John Norvill Jones Date: March 15, 2002 at 12:27:03

I am seeking information on William Travis, born 1728 in Beaufort Co., NC and lived in Pitt County, NC until after the Revolution in which he was a soldier. He married Abigail Denmark of Pitt County. After the War they migrated to Warren County, Georgia where William Travis died in 1805. I would like to know the name of the unit in which he served in the Revolution and when he left Pitt County for Georgia. Any information will be appreciated.
