Hi Suzy,
No idea on Robert's parentage. I have Susannah's as Francis Jones and Elizabeth Huckabee. The following is all I have on him. Robert Dickson (Dixon) fought in the Revolutionary War and died in 1782 of wounds received in an engagement with the Tories. A few years later, his widow married Luke Mizell of Screven County .
Record is found of a deed from Robert Dickson to John Smith, born of St. Mathews Parish, dated April 13, 1774, conveying 100 acres in that parish granted to the grantor Sept. 1, 1772. ( Book A of deeds, page 286, Screven County ). He granted other lands later.
