Will of Seth Pilkington, Gent. of Beaufort county dated October 7, 1751 court March 1754
Wife: Sarah Daughter: Constance Cautanche, Negroes Daughter: Winifred Pilkington Negroes and plantation where I dwell and 1280 acres I purchased of Mr. Alexander Lilington. Wife"s Daughter: Ann Lillington Wife's Granddaughters: Catherine Lockhart, Mary Evans Son in Law: Michael Cautanche Exec: Michael Cautanche and Winifred Pilkington. Wit: John Fry, William Stubbs, Michael Cautanche
It appears his first Wife's name is not known. It appears he m. Sarah Porter, widow of John Lillington and possible mother of Gen. Alexander Lillington of New Hanover county. It also appears that Seth Pilkington had a grant of 640 acres in March 29, 1728 in north west branch of Cape Fear. It appears he sold this.
