Have found a great deal since I posted that message. Mae Baker was born about 1853, William Baker was born abt. 1855, brother Hines Baker was born about 1856. Father of the three was Hines Baker born abt. 1830. Mother's name was Josie. No proof yet, but believe Hines Sr's father was James Baker, mother Priscilla. This family lived in Greene County, NC, probably on a county line because some data has births in Pitt, some in Greene.
