Dear Bill thank you ! the Lemuel Britton? Brittain Family is mine. I show Nancy (Ward) Britton as born in 1810 on the 1850 census. Her parents were James Ward and Nancy Lanier. She would of been 98 years old if born in 1793 ?
There Childeren, James Lanier Britton,b. 1832, d. 1864 in Civil War. I wonder if he had married and had childeren ? Miles Britton 1843-1864, Civil War Vet., William Henry Britton 1837-1908 Civil War Vet. Ann Elizabeth Britton 1835-? alive 1909, m. Cornelious James, Gaberil, 1841-1865, Nancy Ann m. Britton, 1845-1909 in Pitt, Augusta Britton, 1849 alive in 1909. m. Luke Lafayette Ward Jr., b. 1839 they had son with same name.
Some childeren of William are in Bethel Cem.
I don't no who W. T. Britton is. I wonder who his father was. John and Mary Britton/ Brittain lived in the Perkins District of Pitt. John, d. 1829 and Mary, d. 1853/1854, John was a Rev, War Vet. I wish I knew were they were buried. George Britton / Brittain was john's younger brother by 19 years and he lived in Perkins District from about 1801/03 and was there in 1852. I wonder who he married ? and when he died, also buried ?
Janet again thank you!
