Kathy, hope you are still searching the boards!

I am searching for info on the Robert Sandford (Sanford) family who had a daughter, Nancy A., and in looking up census info, for 1860, Granville Co., NC, a Robert Sandford is HOH, age 82. (Think this age is weird, as there is a Martha age 46, Elizabeth age 19, Frances age 17, Thomas age 15, Cornelia age 11 and a McDonald age 8.

Your family may be cousins to my family, but I am not I am just trying at this time to track Nancy who first married William H. Harris in 1858, was widowed, and then married my great grandfather, James Seth Pool.

What is really bugging me is how the census takers keep changing the spelling of Sanford (Sandford)! To make matters worse, folks who are posting their info on Ancestry and are using the different spellings!

Hope this helps a bit!
