Here is what I do know: Gideon S.Roberson and Carrie Amanda (Oakley) were in Caswell CO. in 1889 (they spent the entire 1870s in IL.where 4 of their children were born) where their daughter (Susan Mae)was born, they were in Durham CO.in 1900 per the census. There is a Gideon S. Roberson/Robertson and an older Gideon S. Roberson in Parent CO. in 1850. My 88 year old mom tells me they had family there, so it was either Roberson (however it's spelled) or Oakley.
