I have inspected Dempsey Capps's revolutionary war pension application file. The only hint in the file is a letter from a Ulysses G. Bendorff, dated 1938, requesting information from the US Govt. She states that Dempsey's father was Ethan Capps. She cites no authority, and I cannot yet find a record of an Ethan Capps.

Have you learned anything new about Dempsey's father?
