I am a descendant of Miles Davis, born 1797 in Orange County, NC. His father was Richard Davis. Because of the prominence of the first name Miles in Pasquotank in the early 1700's I am thinking Richard's father may have been one of the Miles Davises of the Pasquotank Davis family. Does anyone have anything to prove this? Thanks for any help. Jim Utley
