Marriage Records Pasquotank Co NC
WILCOX, Prescilla - John Young 9/18/1790. D/O unknow.
1860~
WILCOX, Jeremiah is first found in Pasquotank Co in 1860 and is
a Dept Sheriff living with his wife, Eliza, who was b VA, and their
three boys; James 14, Thomas 11 and William 1 yrs old.
More than likely they lost children in between James and Thomas, and Thomas
and William. I find a James S. WILCOX in this county
1870~
WILCOX, James S - Charlotte (Lotty) Banks 11/29/1866 - On 1870 census with
Lotty, age 30, and dau, Eliza, age 2. James S. is probably s/o Jeremiah and
and Eliza who I find on the 1860 census of this county. This Jeremiah is 'probably'
the s/o Jeremiah and Susanna Jackson. If so, this WILLCOX, Jeremiah - Susanna Jackson 1/16/1800. There was a Jeremiah WILCOX
listed on 1860 census with, Eliza, b VA, Jeremiah NC. Jeremiah was 43 b
ca 1817, probably to Jeremiah and Susanna Jackson. By 1900, Lotty has died and James is
still in this county, and it appears brother Thomas, age 51, is too.
1880~
In 1880, Thomas P WILCOX and his wife, Mattie E and their children, Attie E, 6, James 3
and Sarah Jane WILCOX, age 1, are in this county.
1900~
In 1990, Thomas P is 51, b ca 1849 and is living with his wife, Mattie E,
and children, James 23, Sadie J (Sarah Jane) 21 and Annie M (is this
Attie E?) in Pasquotank Co NC. Thomas is listed as 'ex' sheriff' and he
and Mattie had been married 27 yrs with 4 children listed and 3 still living,
so they lost at least one and it may have been Attie 'if' Annie M and
Attie E were not one of the same.
1910~
Thomas P is listed as being 60, b NC NC NC, and Mattie is 58 b PA PA PA.
