You mentioned that your friend is also researching the Littleton family of Onslow County, NC. Do you know if this family originated from Pitt Co.,NC. I have a copy of a land deed from the early 1700's on a family by the last name of Littleton living next door to my g,g,g,g,g,g,g, grandfather Walter Dixon, Sr. This is a land patent granted by King George II. I found a copy of this land patent in the Boyd Family Papers, located at East Carolina University, Joyner Library. I believe the collection # was 253.1.

I also have a little more information on the Littleton family from Pitt Co., NC. Should your friend discover any connection to the Pitt Co., family let me know and I can send that to you in the mail. It is far too lengthy to type in to this forum.

I have no information on Gillie Tingle ever being murdered. I'll write to Roy today.

All My Best,
Suzy Dixon Bennett
