Hi, Odell Spain here, Here is a little info. I picked up on MF237P at the Pamlico Library on the Slades, I was looking for other info. Here it is: From the Beaufort County September court 1802 a petition of Henry Slade, Samuel,Rueban, William, Lydia Slade, lawful heirs of Henry Slade Sr. land between Head Of Goose Creek and Bay River 190 acres. This is about where the Coast Guard Station at Hobucken on towards Bayboro and Aurora. There is more info. there on the Slades on this reel. A Joseph Slade is mentioned being at Leighs Creek area.
